Here's the Balearics on a larger scale. Menorca has a population of 70 thousand people...
Figure 2: ...and welcome to the Balearics in close-up. Many people have noticed that Menorca looks like Australia backwards. In that case, I've swam across most of the Great Menorcan Bight - it's about 2 km! Menorca is some 60 km/40 miles long.
And here's the North American continent. Population is about 300 million... Canada is to the North of the US, which is to the North of South America. Really.
